Welcome to Grade 5 - Faith Formation for 2020 - 2021
This year, for grade 5 students, you have the option of an on-site family program or a homeschool course.  We hope you will strongly consider attending the twice per month family program with your student, as we believe that learning in a community of faith will be an enriching experience.  Your options are summarized below.  Please click on the grey buttons to read more about each option before making your choice.
Options for 2020 - 2021 for Grade 5
Option 1:  Family program -- on-site class where parent & students in grades 1, 3 - 5 meet twice/month
                 Families have a choice of 4 session times:
                 Wednesdays, 4 - 5:30 pm      Wednesdays, 6 - 7:30 pm     Thursdays, 4 - 5:30 pm     Thursdays, 6 - 7:30 pm

                 Note that Mrs. Carberry, our music teacher, is planning to lead a music session as part of the Thursday 4 - 5:30 pm                       family program, so if you'd like your student to have music, select this family session time.

​Option 2:  Homeschool course --  Students work with parents to complete a self-paced, online course on your own schedule.                         This option includes online parent meetings and online student enrichment meetings throughout the year.
2019 - 2020 Grade 5 Service Project -- Fleece Tie Blankets for the Family Shelter at Lazarus House
Our fifth graders and parents participated in a project making blankets for the family shelter at Lazarus House in Lawrence, MA.  Our group meeting for the event was cancelled due to the pandemic, so students finished the blankets at home.  We hope to continue service projects for grade 5 in the coming year (with social distancing considerations in mind) and will need parent volunteers to assist us in organizing the projects.
