St. Theresa Parish Faith Formation: Grades 1-6 & Adaptive

Faith Formation for Families Teaching Children at Home

There is a communal aspect in sharing the knowledge and joining in the practice of our Catholic Faith.  The participation of every family in the support of the our parish program is not only encouraged, it is also vital to the success of this parish's future within the larger community.  We ask that you pray about your choice to homeschool your child and actively look for ways to become more involved in the life of the parish if you find you have no other alternative but to elect this option.  All families are asked to attend or watch weekly liturgies, attend online parent meetings, and participate in seasonal liturgical events as noted on the Parish Calendar.

Additional Details for Grade 1 Homeschooling
Grade 1 Homeschooling (can be Year 1 of Communion Prep) consists of:

1.  Completion of the Grade 1 online homeschool course with your student through My Catholic Faith Delivered (see details above).

2.  To experience our Catholic community, attend 4 of the 9 scheduled Class Masses.  Check-in before the 9 am Mass with your student in the FF foyer, and hand in their completed worksheet after Mass.  Class Mass dates for 2025-2026 are:  10/5, 10/26, 11/9, 12/7, 1/25, 3/1, 3/15, and 3/29.  You could also attend the Back-to-School Mass on 9/14.

3.  One of the parents needs to have a 15-min welcome chat with the program director, Brenda Terranova.  We'll contact you about scheduling this once the year begins.  This will be a casual conversation so we can get to know your family and welcome you to our program.
